Sonorous Wave
Meet the CEO
Ahmad Waller, known in the music community as Salif Hidone, is the CEO and founder of Sonorous Wave. His musical journey began in 2004 with mallet percussion and grew into a foundation across percussion, marimba, drum set, and piano, shaping a deep commitment to live performance across jazz, symphonic, and concert band traditions.
Ahmad continued his musical development through ensemble and marching band performance at Johnson C. Smith University, with experience including drumline appearances for the Charlotte Bobcats (now the Hornets). Since 2015, he has worked as a professional musician-for-hire, supporting artists, events, and productions across genres.
What We Do
In 2022, Ahmad co-founded Sonorous Wave alongside Narlie Croutch IV, originally as a musician-for-hire service. The organization has since evolved into a multidisciplinary creative collective and production platform dedicated to immersive live experiences, community-centered programming, and the belief that music—when shared with intention—has the power to heal, connect, and bring people together.
Our Vision
Sonorous Wave envisions a creative world where artistry leads and algorithms follow—where music, sound, and visual expression are valued for their ability to heal, connect, and move people, not for their ability to perform for metrics. We are committed to building spaces and experiences that prioritize human presence, intentional listening, and creative integrity, ensuring that artists and communities are seen, heard, and sustained beyond trends.
Our Partners
We’re proud to partner with creatives and organizations who believe in thoughtful collaboration. Each partnership is rooted in mutual respect, shared purpose, and a commitment to supporting the work behind the scenes and on the stage.
